For those of you following international developments, I suggest reading "Why Greece won't turn itself around."
If you're considering academic research or graduate school, I suggest reading Pete Boettke's "Thinking without writing is day dreaming." It rings true from my experience in grad school. I like the thinking that he calls out by saying, "Mike has the great advice --- set goals based on output, not input..." I was lucky enough to have many caring mentors that drove that point home for me while I was in school.
